Yayakent Facility was established in 1999 in Izmir - Bergama region; The 12.000 m2 facility built on an open area of 35.000 m2 is currently producing around 200.000/ mt of crushed / screened perlite per year. Yayakent facility, designed with American Technology, is an ultra modern plant; During production, the waste materials are collected in a dust collecting unit via gravity method which enables to produce high and consistent quality of crushed / screened perlite ore.
Besides cryogenic grade perlite ore, used for LNG and ColdBox projects, we also produce in our facility high volumes of crushed / screened perlite suitable for construction, agriculture, foundry casting and filtration industries.
Between 2011- 2012, all the processing equipment, multi-frequency screens, air separators and automatic packing systems of our facility were fully renewed. Taking in consideration the growth of the micronized perlite market on short and medium term, Diperlit also invested in new crushing / screening systems and air separators for production of 0,10 - 0,30 mm, 0,10 - 0.40 mm, 0,20 - 0.50 mm, 0,30 - 0,60 mm perlite. Another purpose of this investment was to meet the fast growing global demand for "closed cell" perlite, produced in new technology electrical furnaces
All operational process of this facility is carried out in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. "All of our products are packed with an accurate weighing system of our packing unit, which is the top step of the production line, in 1100 - 1300 kg of big bags or in 25 - 50 kg of kraft bags, based on the requirement of our customers, and stored in an indoor storage area, to be protected from environmental humidity and contamination."
We made significant investments in our laboratory systems as well in order, to be able offer high quality service to our customers. Combined water and moisture analysis, as well as sieve analysis, mechanical resistance tests, laboratory type expansion tests and all other required analyses are performed regularly by our qualified laborants and chemists, in line with PI and ASTM standards.
All the exports of the company, either in bulk or in big bags, ranging in lots between 3000 - 25000 DWCC, are organized from Port of Dikili, operated by IPM Group and located at 42 km distance from our facilities. 20’ container shipments are arranged from Izmir and Aliaga ports and delivered worldwide, either directly or with minimum transhipment.
